Frequently asked questions

The questions buyers ask before the first order.

Short answers to the objections that matter. If yours isn't here, put it to the trade desk directly.

You haven't shipped yet. Why should we trust you?
We are a new company and we say so on every page. What we ask you to judge is the process, not a track record: verified suppliers, third-party testing on every batch, and a complete document set before the container moves. The first shipment is where that gets proven — which is why we would rather you start with a sample and a diagnostic than a leap of faith.
How is "independently verified" different from a supplier's own certificate?
A supplier's certificate of analysis is the supplier grading their own work. Independent verification means an accredited third-party laboratory tests the batch against the specification agreed before the order, and the report reaches you directly. It is the distance you would expect between an auditor and the accounts.
Ethylene oxide is why our compliance team flags Indian spice. What do you do about it?
Every batch is steam sterilised, never treated with ethylene oxide. That is a fixed process commitment, not a per-order choice, and it is the direct answer to the residue alerts that make buyers hesitate over the origin.
Everyone else quotes lower. What are we paying for?
The gap between our price and the cheapest quote is roughly the cost of verification — testing, documentation, and one accountable party. Buyers who have paid a demurrage bill or written off a batch tend to price that risk differently. If price is the only variable that matters for the order, we are probably not the right partner.
What exactly is Vistarah accountable for, and what is outside your control?
We own the chain from the supplier's warehouse to the vessel, and the document set that travels with it: qualification, testing, sterilisation, certificates, loading. We do not control a destination customs decision or an arrival date once the ship has sailed, and we will not imply otherwise. Everything up to the vessel, we answer for.
How does a first order actually start?
A 30-minute sourcing diagnostic — specification, volume, destination — with no obligation. If it is a fit, the next step is a sample with its batch lab report attached. You decide from there.
