Grades and specification

One oil, three ways to specify it.

Turmeric oil is bought for its turmerone profile. Which figures you hold us to depends on whether it is going into a flavour, a cosmetic, or a wellness product.
Where it is going

Selected route: Conventional — Standard cultivation, with residue testing against the limits your market applies.

Pesticide residues*
Residue testing follows the limits relevant to your destination before distillation, with the finished-oil scope set against the agreed specification.
Documents that may accompany the shipment*
The oil shipment set follows the agreed scope and may include GC-MS analysis, origin, safety, allergen, packing and commercial documents.

These are reference ranges, not a Vistarah specification. They are typical of export-grade Indian turmeric, shown so you can place your requirement. Your confirmed figures are agreed on enquiry and stated on the certificate of analysis for your batch.

Quality and compliance

Four steps between the field and your drum.

Independent testing is scoped to the agreed product specification and shipment requirements.
  1. Partner processing facility

    Rhizome sourced and selected

Cured rhizome is selected at the growing region for oil content, then cleaned and size-reduced for the still. Multi-region sourcing keeps the turmerone profile steady across seasons.

  2. Partner processing facility

    Steam distilled

Distilled with low-pressure steam under temperature control, so the turmerones carry over without being cooked. Yield is a few percent of rhizome weight — reported per batch, never guaranteed.

  3. Partner processing facility

    Settled, filtered and dried

The oil is separated from the distillation water, allowed to settle, then filtered and dried. Drums are filled and the headspace is purged with nitrogen.

  4. Independent testing lab

    GC-MS tested independently

The agreed oil scope covers the relevant GC-MS turmerone profile, heavy metals and residues through an independent laboratory.
